Auto Control Systems developed a containerised carbon capture system for Santos, designed to capture 250kg per day of CO2. With a tight timeline and challenging supply environment due to the impact of COVID-19, ACS successfully designed, fabricated, and installed the system using two containers.  The system features robust equipment, including an AB Compact Logix PLC, Advantech panel PC, Red Lion data module, and Secomea modem. Field wiring was managed through IFM Ethernet/IO-Link Nodes, with E&H and Khrone  & IFM instrumentation. Communication protocols, including Ethernet, Profinet, and IO-Link, were managed via gateway to ensure seamless operation. Despite long lead times on parts, the project was delivered on time, meeting all performance specifications in a challenging environment.
