Control Systems Engineer

Applications are sought for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team at our Welshpool facility.

Working with a team of over 50 like-minded professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the solution design, construction, through to the testing and commissioning phase of unique and innovative projects making a real difference to our client’s businesses.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consultation with clients to establish requirements and scope of works
  • Taking a leading role in the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of high-quality solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ requirements
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
  • Perform client interfacing support
  • Work as part of a team consisting of engineering, trades, and support personnel
  • Act on opportunities to grow the business through customer relationship management and high-quality project delivery


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in the electrical, mechatronic or automation and control field with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Client focused with strong communication skills
  • PLC/SCADA/DCS system design and development
  • Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, and IFM
  • Industrial communications, network design and development
  • Practical site experience with electrical and automation and control systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD electrical
  • Good technical communication and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work both unsupervised and as part of a larger engineering team

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with CodeSYS programming
  • Experience with industrial robotics
  • TUV certified functional safety certification
  • Hazardous Areas (HA) Classification and Design certification
