We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team at our Welshpool facility.

As a true integrator ACS will provide you with a unique environment as part of a team committed to thinking laterally to develop solutions that makes our clients operations safer, more efficient and more profitable.
Working with a team of over 50 like-minded professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the solution design, construction, through to the testing and commissioning phase of unique and innovative projects making a real difference to our client’s businesses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing bespoke software for electrical control systems
- Creating user interfaces within various industrial development environments
- Taking a leading role in the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of high-quality solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ requirements
- Provide fault finding and troubleshooting support on a vast variety of machines
- Work as part of a team consisting of engineering, trades, and support personnel
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering in the electrical, mechatronic or automation and control field with at least 2 years of post-grad experience
- Client focused with strong communication skills
- PLC/SCADA/DCS system programming and configuration
- Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, and IFM control systems
- Industrial communications protocol and network experience
- Practical site experience with electrical control systems and automation
- Experience with AutoCAD electrical
- Good technical communication and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work both unsupervised and as part of a larger engineering team
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with CodeSYS programming
- Experience with industrial robotics
- TUV certified functional safety certification
