Auto Control Systems collaborated with local manufacturer Rocks Gone Pty Ltd to design and implement a state-of-the-art robotic welding cell. This advanced system features a KUKA KR300 for parts handling and a KR8 Arc robot for the hardfacing of agricultural equipment. It’s equipped with Lincoln Robotic Welding Equipment, ATI Tooling, IFM 12” Touch HMI, and an EtherCAT safety controller with Beckhoff IO.
The entire process is fully automated, incorporating preheating, scanning, hardfacing, fume extraction, and post-heating of components. The 12” HMI provides an easy interface for the operator, complemented by simple pushbutton controls to ensure smooth operation.
Micro Epsilon Laser Profiler scans incoming components, enabling real-time adjustment of the weld path based on scan data. To ensure safety, the system includes Axelent guarding and GuardMaster safety interlocks, providing comprehensive protection. Peripheral equipment is monitored and controlled via the system’s control panel.
This innovative solution allows Rocks Gone to process a wide variety of parts through a single integrated cell, delivering both high efficiency and precision in agricultural equipment manufacturing.
